Xabi has just taken charge of the team. He played one official match at the CWC. Furthermore, some of the players who played there won't be with the team next year, such as Luka Modrić. Therefore, the Spanish manager will need to analyze the team thoroughly and manage Real Madrid in the best way possible to achieve success in the new year. I'm one of those who think Real Madrid will be successful next year. They can be ahead of Barcelona, but the players need to play with each other and build bonds, and of course, they won't have to waste too many individual chances like last year.
Xabi Alonso still has a lot of time to develop the Real Madrid team and from what happened in the Club World Cup I don't think it can be used as a reference because Xabi Alonso still needs time to adapt and also Xabi Alonso has proven that he is a quality coach when handling Leverkusen so the same thing is also possible for him to repeat again with Real Madrid.
I also think Xabi could have a successful career with Real Madrid, because despite a very difficult period at Leverkusen, they didn't suffer a single Bundesliga defeat in the season they won the championship. Even taking into account European competitions, their only defeat was against Atalanta in the final. Now, with a team like Real Madrid, and with the resources they possess, they can achieve even greater success. As long as they compete with a systematic and success-hungry squad like Leverkusen's, I believe Xabi will serve Real Madrid for many years.
He's a good coach if he could succeed at Leverkusen
and dominate the league when Bayern Munich is still there then why won't he succeed in an environment like the Bernabéu with more better players and facilities for training. I know he's not had the start anyone expected I'm talking about the lose to PSG but he'll bounce back to have a successful season when it starts.
Yeah you are right, I believe as time goes on he will get to know more about the team and how to work with them, is just a matter of time, we can't just expect him to pick up immediately, he is even trying when he came first I was thinking he won't even do well since his just coming newly but he was fast to get use to the team, I know there's still more work for him but I believe the longer he stays in real Madrid the better he will become, even if he didn't do well or as expected next reason I will advise they keep him, sacking him should not be thought of.
If he can succeed in Leverkusen I believe he will also succeed in real Madrid they will win trophies together, next season lifting the champions League trophy won't be easy for them but is still very much possible, after what happened between Chelsea and PSG yesterday I can't doubt any club again, the same way people believed in inter Milan on the champions League final and PSG ended up winning them that was same thing that happened between Chelsea and PSG in the FIFA club world cup finals.
