Finally, Real Madrid's most decorated player Luka Modric leaves the club after playing his final game for the club in their 4:0 defeat to French and European champions Paris Saint Germaine. As a Real Madrid fan, I'm yet to make peace with the fact that another legend of the club have left but I believe that he'll someday come back to the club but definitely not as a player. Reports have it that he's already signed for AC Milan. Wishing the Croatian midfield maestro the best as he he continues his football journey.
Fair well Modric! It has been a great time watching him play for one of my favorite clubs in the world Real Madrid. We are all proud of him and what he has achieved with and for the club, he will definitely be missed hugely. Ac milan are the lucky side to have captured him this summer as he will now join them after Madrid?s elimination from the Club World Cup.
A player older than his country and arguably a Real Madrid legend, Modric finally had to leave the club that gave him so many titles and wonderful memories. He now plays for AC Milan, and Milan will likely be his final destination before retirement. Incidentally, from the Los Galacticos era only Carvajal remains. I still remember the great performances of the Madrid players from that era.
To be honest, this player at Milan makes me turn up my nose a bit. It doesn't seem normal to me to take such an old player to play him in a team that needs to be reborn. They're basically doing what they did with the phenomenon Ronaldo. I certainly don't like the choice, but maybe he can surprise me again, who knows.
