But people gamble more when they have more money. So I don't really think it's lack of sustainable means of income that make people to gamble. A gambler is a gambler wether the person has a means of sustainable income or not. Someone who gamble $5 when such person doesn't have a means of sustainable income will gamble with $20 or more when they have means of sustainable income. Am not saying the government shouldn't provide skills and job opportunities for their citizens, but I just want to correct the impression that lack of jobs or means of income is what fuels gambling addiction.
How many rich guys with money do see gambling as much as the numerous poor we have on the streets and within our communities? If you have more money what really comes to mind immediately is how to invest such money into lucrative assets with potentials for ROI. Gambling is the least in mind, that's if you'll even have the time to spend to gamble. But when you're without some regular paying income or one with very insufficient amount, it makes it easier to see gambling as another means to raise a few bucks.
