I came across news that there’s a senator pushing to ban gambling in our country.
So I’d like to ask fellow gamblers here, do you think this move is justified? Or is it too harsh?
We all know that gambling is addictive by nature. No matter our financial status, anyone can fall into addiction. But is banning it entirely really the only solution?
And what could be the possible consequences if gambling were banned in a country? Can you share some thoughts or examples?
Let’s have an open discussion ...
It doesn't solve the problem, but it prevents ongoing issues. If you're a gambler, you'll know how to visit a casino, no matter what. Those unfamiliar with casinos won't bother visiting them because there won't be any advertising, etc.
Honestly, I think it depends on the readiness of your community and your government to educate the public about financial literacy, so that even those who enter a casino have financial awareness and can gamble responsibly. They come to the casino simply for entertainment.
