Retegui has made his choice, he is a professional and the earnings offered by Saudi Arabian teams are hard to refuse, who knows if we will ever see him again in Europe

A win-win solution, Atalanta also needs money for club operations and ,a high salary for Rategui is the best part for his career. However, in recent seasons, i don't think we need to worry about Atalanta, becaus they has been able to build a team with talented players who were unused or rarely used by their current club. Perhaps, with the fresh funding from Rategui sale, Atalanta could try to find new players at a lower price but with similar characteristics.

In my humble opinion, Atalanta did the right thing by cashing in on Retegui's money, so that's fine. Ultimately, this team is a breeding ground for talent, so it won't be difficult for them to find another talent, which they can then revisit.
This is how it's done

The talent pool was probably thanks to the previous coach. Now they have a new coach, Ivan Jurić, who doesn't have a history of managing great talent. Maybe I'm misinformed about this, but I don't see him as a coach who will make Atalanta better than Gian Piero Gasperini, which is why, in my opinion, some Atalanta players are leaving. Serie A matches will begin next month.

Atalanta's first match will be against newly promoted Pisa. We'll see how the new Atalanta coach performs, even with the departure of some players. If they lose against newly promoted Pisa, it will be a clear sign of what we can expect from Atalanta this season. They're lucky to have qualified for the European Champions League, so they'll make money from it, but I highly doubt they'll qualify next season. Without their top scorer and their best coach, they'll have a hard time achieving good results.
