Re: Banning gambling, would this solve the problem?

It’s harsh considering that Philippines gets huge tax on gambling while this senator that typically corrupting the country funds through their confidential funds and budget are the one that drain the country money without any result that will help the public.

Senators is dumb enough to ban this and cut huge taxes which is same when they ban POGO instead of regulating it properly.

Doing this will result for more illegal gambling.

This won’t get banned, for sure. They’ve already seen how much tax revenue they can collect from it. Even if a few senators push for a ban on online gambling, the president might not support it.

We just have to accept that gambling has become widespread and it’s part of today’s entertainment culture. So instead of pushing for an outright ban, they should be more open-minded. Focus on proper regulation. That way, it’s a win-win: gambling addiction can be minimized, and the government still gets steady tax income.
