This is his first season though I wont use the conference league and Club World Cup trophies to conclude if he is a better coach or not. If you do some research you will found out that most managers do win trophies in their first season. Arteta won a trophy, Erik Ten Hag also won a trophy, including so many others. But the real deal here is the 3 to 5 years interval, can he maintain this same energy in the club or can he bring something even better to the club. Maresca should never be compared to Pep, they may have the same bald head but they dont have the same brain inside the head. Pep is 100x better.
It seems like it's always difficult for any manager to win more trophies in a three- to five-year interval, especially when it comes to major trophies like the Champions League or domestic leagues, because every season there are changes within the team, which won't always suit the manager's tactics. So for a longer period of time it will always be more difficult to remain consistent champions in major competitions, but for the Chelsea team, it seems that next season they can return to being candidates for a place in the Champions League, such as being in the top four or top three of the standings.
