PSG could have closed the season with even 5 trophies but they failed in the FIFA Club World Cup. In the end this tournament was kind of a part of the previous season. Who could have thought Chelsea would be the one to stop them?  Grin

I see some weakness in them against Premier League teams. Eliminating Liverpool and Aston Villa both were also not an easy work for them in the Champions League you know. I wonder whether Luis Enrique will find a solution for those teams too next season...

There is room for improvement everytime so I think that's exactly what Luis Enrique will do since he also gave other teams he won places to improve on. Their campaign last season was an excellent one but sometimes that's how football treat you maybe just a sign to let you know that there is actually no perfection in the field of play, I think the same thing happened to Bayer Leverkusen last time when they completed a perfect no loss campaign in their league and the entire football season but only to lose to Atlanta in the Europa league finals with almost similar scoreline.
I was also immediately reminded of the final match between Leverkusen and Antalanta; the story was similar. At the time, Leverkusen was considered a heavy favorite over Atalanta, especially because Leverkusen was undefeated in all competitions. Atalanta was underdogs, even underestimated, and considered unlikely to win the final. But Atalanta won 3-0 against Leverkusen. And now the same thing happened to PSG. I suspect PSG's defeat was due to their excessive fanfare in this match, which led them to underestimate Chelsea in the final. Chelsea, on the other hand, are known for having a very good squad, and they are always the underdog in finals, but they often cause upsets in finals, including the Club World Cup final.

Chelsea had studied PSG's game thoroughly. Meanwhile, PSG underestimated Chelsea, implementing the same playing style they have used to defeat other teams. This was especially evident in the PSG midfield, which Chelsea frustrated. Without dominance in midfield, PSG's play could not develop, and PSG's wingers were unable to do much in this match.
