One click away: Philippines grapples with online gambling boom – and doom

Filipino families are increasingly affected by online gambling, with easy access leading to addiction and financial problems.
Government revenue from e-games is significant but lawmakers are divided on banning versus regulating due to addiction concerns.
Pagcor is responding by removing ads and tightening rules, while fintech firms enhance verification; President Marcos considers taxing online gambling.

You will fully understand how addictive gambling is after reading this post, just look at how much the horror of gambling can ruin lives. A woman bet 3000 pesos and immediately she won 30000 pesos. This was a quick win and a trick to trap the gambler but the gambler did not understand and immediately later she won again and she lost all her money even worse. At the last moment her family became completely destitute and later faced huge debts, I am only presenting it briefly.

Seeing this street gambling advertisement will attract more gamblers and many students will come along, so I think it is at least tragic because this advertisement is enough to destroy not only families but the entire nation. How terrible do you think this advertisement and gambling are, how reasonable do you think it is if such a gambling advertisement is in front of your house/under the open roof

Its a usual thing, we can see adverts anywhere about a brand, so why should gambling being a means of entertainment be different, government cannot clampdown on them entirely, whereas this approach does not make people live under a better condition in a society, violence can exist in any form and from anyone, abuse is always inevitable in life, because we are not the same, so why are they trying to discourage and suppress a section for others, when majority of gamblers are enjoying gambling with the way it keeps them engaged in having fun, not minding about the efficiencies of the governments in leading the people.
