I have witnessed a celebrity manipulating her fan until doing the craziest thing. Don't underestimate the support of a fan towards their celebrity, especially when the can is ignorant and not learned.
If you don't believe that celebrity has influence on their fan then companies won't be employing them for ads and some celebrities has caused brands to lose sale.
