The thing is, I don't think Arsenal will stress themselves on this Gyokeres deal. I believe that they made attempts to sign him just because the fans are demanding for a striker.
Fabrizio "tweeted" a few minutes ago that the agreement is getting closer since "Arsenal is now willing to get closer to the €70m plus €10m add-ons [so they're probably going to spend €68m upfront + Gyökeres €2m]". If Edu was still our sporting director, I would've agreed with the latter part of your comment, but Berta has been pretty aggressive lately and he's still trying to sign a couple of other attackers as well [I'm sure he can get at least one of the other attacking targets before the window shuts].

It is no more a rumor again. At last the Arsenal fans can have peace that a new striker has been brought to the club. After Chelsea won the Club world cup today, Arteta should be ashamed that in the last 4 years of good football he has not won any trophy, that alone should be motivation to him, knowing that London is blue and not red.

According to Fabrizo, here we go! soon for Gyökeres  to Arsenal.
it is not how far but how well and that is what Chelsea have proved for coming out victorious against an opposition that even the strongest team in the premier league and even laliga  feared playing against. that madueke has to leave for arsenal just days to playing the club world cup final is what i cant seems to rap my hands on, why the rush? why can he not stay till the end of the club world cup so he can have in his record that he has a world club cup title on his shoulder. joining arsenal now even with the Gyökeres that is talked about as though he is the perfect fit for arsenal attack, they might still go to the coming premier league and fail to make it to the top four of the premier league table.

apart from winning the FIFA club world cup, the squad we now have at Chelsea looks like one that is ready to get something really positive done in the coming premier league and champions league that they will b playing in.

In fact, it's an ordinary squad for them, I would even say familiar. Moreover, they had no serious opponents except Benfica in the 1/8 finals. the fact that they reached the final is not surprising at all. What is surprising is that they won by such a margin against PSG, who in turn won all the major trophies this season I, like many people, thought it would be an easy walk for PSG.
