The Club World Cup gave me mixed emotions. The quality of football was great — teams played their best lineups and really fought for the win. It was clear they were motivated not just by trophies, but by serious prize money too. This wasn’t a pre-season tournament.
But there were issues as well: matches had to be stopped for over an hour due to lightning, which totally broke the rhythm of the game. Many stands were half-empty, and the atmosphere just wasn’t there. The schedule was odd, ticket prices were high, and overall organization could’ve been much better.
