Starting last year until now, transaction fees have improved compared to the previous bullish period. Right now, fees are still cheap compared to the past, where sometimes they even reached $100 or more during a bull run. So, what changed? Will these low fees continue in the long term, or might we see another spike in fees when the price of Bitcoin surges again?
Congestion of the mempool has always been a major reason we experience all of that high fees on the blockcain,  take a careful look at the mempool if you are an observer,  you will see that the Congestion is lower now and it take shorter time to get your transactions approved a d so does the changes or fees as you may have it.

If the mempool gets so Congested,  you can still be able  to get your transactions done at a cheep rate but not at the time you wanted it, it will take a longer time because other transactions on the block has to be cleared  before your transaction will get to the block where yours is but if you want to fat track it, then you can skip the quee by paying  the high transaction fees. It's important to just know that if there's Congestion, transaction fees will go high again but as long as it stays decongested, you will have your fees cheaper.
