Obviously, we should respect the religion and the beliefs upheld but what about those who are not Catholic and would wish to continue to gamble? Does religion have the right to be included in conversations regarding gambling if their beliefs cloud their judgement?
I get why the church wants to speak up, but not everyone follows the same faith. People should have the freedom to gamble if they want, as long as it’s well regulated. Religion shouldn’t decide for everyone, especially if it clouds fair judgment.
When it comes to religion making decisions with the government in the world, Catholic Church is head that works with government officials in making amendment of the government asks for their opinions, they are more respected for that. The truth is that, Catholic Church will not jump into this matter unless some few members from the country has seek out the help to regulate or rather pass the law that would minimize excessive gambling through the Church to the government, then the priest can now intervene.

It doesn't really matter whether you are non Catholic or not religious or not, the government obeyed order from Catholic Church more often.
