This is the kind of player Arteta love to have on his team, someone who can play any position especially this very player that can play as a CB and as a RB and the player has it all and again I'm having this feeling that either Gabriel or Saliba might leave the club, I'm just saying because the way Madrid has been eyeing the two CB back or one of them as of January, is something that might come as a surprise since they that's Madrid are having issues with their defenders but I hope is just me seeing things differently.
Indeed the Gunners have been busy but I feel they have been doing well in the transfer window for just few players, only if this Gyökeres deal pulls through that alone will give many of the fans enough joy. Well, I'd still applaud the Gunners if they finally gets him.
Not a bad signing simply because it comes with a low transfer fee other wise i would have said it is a very unnecessary signing at the moment because they seriously need more money to get the attacking players with the full focus on Gyokeres who’s deal is looking very frustrating at the moment. This new Center back is going to be Arsenal fifth Center back or more because there is the likes of Timber and Califiori who can both play the center back positions.
As for Saliba precisely i think he will be heavily linked with Real Madrid because of the lack of defenders at the club, Real Madrid game against PSG showed why they need a very good defense because the goals were typical defensive errors. Saliba is an excellent player but the way Arsenal are going without trophies players like this will definitely go to a club that can offer them trophies and at Real Madrid I think Saliba stands more chance than at Arsenal so I think he Would definitely prefer Real Madrid
