Well, we shouldn't overstate this. Even though Enzo has been successful this season, it's not impossible that he won't be successful next season. However, if he can continue his performance for the next few seasons, then he's a coach who could approach Pep's achievements, or even surpass him. It's hard to find someone equal to Pep. Pep wasn't just successful at Manchester City, he was also successful at his previous clubs. And it's rare for a coach to consistently achieve success at several clubs. So, to be on par with Pep, Enzo must succeed not only at Chelsea but also at other clubs someday, just as Pep has done at several previous clubs.
This can't be compared because the two coaches are different teams, so whatever the case, Enzo Maresca has certainly made a difference in his first season as Chelsea manager, despite any expectations. At least there's progress, and I think that progress in his first season has been quite positive.
Given what happened in his first season, I think it's natural that many believe Maresca will do better next season, and that's how it should be after they've gone through the process of building the Chelsea team.
I think it was Enzo's success at his previous club that warrant Chelsea to trust and give him a chance to manage their club, he might not have been as successful or close to what Pep has achieved when he was at his previous club but let's leave the past and focus on the present, that man has proved himself to be a very good manager he's achieved alot in his first season, we should be praising him instead of trying to compare his achievements with that of Pep Guardiola. I think this recent trophy he just won is a big motivation to his entire squad ahead of the next Premier league season, it's going to be interesting times ahead for Chelsea, I envy them.
