This can't be compared because the two coaches are different teams, so whatever the case, Enzo Maresca has certainly made a difference in his first season as Chelsea manager, despite any expectations. At least there's progress, and I think that progress in his first season has been quite positive.
Given what happened in his first season, I think it's natural that many believe Maresca will do better next season, and that's how it should be after they've gone through the process of building the Chelsea team.
This is a good start because winning the Club World Cup has boosted Chelsea's motivation and will have a much better effect in preparing for the Premier League next season. This might not be a determining factor in Chelsea's performance next season, because even though they beat PSG, the competition in the Premier League, with its high number of matches, makes maintaining consistency much more difficult.
But at least Chelsea have done their best and Enzo Maresca who was considered to be lacking in ability, has proven to be a significant improvement for this team. We'll see how Chelsea performs next season, whether they will be a title contender or struggle to keep up with the other teams.
