Be careful with Ledger. If you have a significant amount of crypto savings, you might want to consider other hardware wallets like Trezor. Ledger has been into one controversy to another. Its track record isn't as clean as it should be.
I haven't tried Electrum for LTC but Electrum for BTC and Electrum for LTC aren't developed by the same person. The latter is just copied from the former's open-source code for Litecoin. While Electrum for LTC is open-source and noncustodial, there were also concerns raised about it, especially its lack of updates and maintenance.
If you want to try it, just make sure you're downloading it from electrum-ltc.org.
can you explain more about what u mean about Ledger as yes I keep storing my crypto there more than 5 years now
I did not make a withdraw like 5 years now ( just small amount at start to test it )
I also never connect it to apps or stake the crypto into ledger live app
