Enzo Maresca is a great coach, no doubt about it. We saw Chelsea win by a big margin against PSG. Wining 3-0 was an incredible result. Actually, I was very surprised by Maresca's match strategy. He was able to counter the weaknesses of PSG's defense very well. Strong teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid could not score a single goal against this strong defense of PSG. But Chelsea's performance was completely different. In every match we saw PSG dominate, but in the final we saw Chelsea's domination. There is no doubt that Maresca gang will want to dominate the Premier League next season. If they could continue with such a performance, they would fight for the top position in the table; they have this ability.
Unbelievable, Chelsea managed to create surprise after beating PSG 3-0 despite being the favorite team to win the FIFA Club World Cup due successfully eliminating top team from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. PSG is known as a team that is quite solid in defense since 16 of round just conceded one goals in last 6 games in a row but  Chelsea make surprising how easily scoring three goals against PSG without conceded one goal. No doubt with Enzo Maresca's tactician even though his team was not favored to win, they were able to beat PSG with a fairly convincing score.
Wish Chelsea consistent performance at FIFA Club World Cup match can bring positive impact for Premier League match will play around one month later, last season Chelsea finished at 4th standings position and qualified to Champion League hope for next season can get in the tittle race with Arsenal, Manchester City or the defending champion Liverpool.
Anyone still doubting Maresca probably did not watch the final with both eyes open. PSG came in with 1 goal conceded in 6, Donnarumma on a 92% save rate. But Chelsea just ripped up the script. The whole plan was to flip PSG's press on its head. Most teams get strangled by their 9.2 PPDA, but Maresca told his keeper to go full Ederson with those direct balls. It is modern pragmatism, not the old "death by possession". Palmer's double and João Pedro's chip were results of forcing PSG to defend where they are weakest: running back toward their own goal

What is forgotten is the role reversal: James in the middle? Neto tracking Hakimi? That is what killed PSG's width, the exact thing they destroyed Madrid with. And do not sleep on the fact that Chelsea had the youngest minute share in the tournament. It is not an old man win now team, they have legs and days and a fixture list that is full of London derbies and less travel. Provided they continue to rotate as they did in the CWC (19 players in 120+ mins!), there is a valid reason to believe that bounce will translate into the league. Liverpool and Arsenal will know they've got company
