On my mind I always personally though Curacao licenses were just something you pay to run your casino worldwide and that's it. Do they really check their licensed casinos and cancel their licenses or fine them if they find any wrongdoing? I would say the biggest win is for sure the Curacao government that makes money and don't have to do anything.
I will always prefer casinos that are as transparent as possible, and provably fair systems is a big safeguard for customers. For example, how do we know if the coin flip we just did wasn't tampered to make us lose?
Even some reputable casinos operate under a Curacao license, but for many newer or lesser-known ones, that's usually the only license they have.
The issue is, because Curacao regulators often fail to act on player complaints, shady casinos take advantage of that and get away with scams. They know there’s little accountability. if the regulator doesn’t help, your next option is legal action, but how many gamblers are willing to go that far? Hiring a lawyer is expensive, and there’s no guarantee you’ll even win the case. That’s why strong regulation matters.
If you can’t trust where a casino is registered, it’s simple.. don’t gamble there.
