You'll find ppl will support your opinion because it's a time for them to get educated & hope for a bright future. They shouldn't think about gambling money their parents are spending to get them educated. If they get addicted to gamble now what's going to happen to them later when they're older ?

I will never support a student to gamble, especially a minor student, this is the time for them to get an education, which will make their future bright, but why should they involve themselves in gambling? They should do physical sports for entertainment, this is their age of education, they will always think about their studies and when they need entertainment, they will play physical games on the field with their friends. Why would they need anything more than this? I think gambling should be completely banned for students, because if they gamble at this age, it will affect them more negatively, because they will never be able to control their greed, as a result, gambling will no longer be entertainment for them, but they will become completely addicted to gambling.

As an adults we understand how important education is, but when we were kids, we did everything possible for not to study. As we were kids, we cared about nothing. What people write here (especially the guy you quoted) is a description of a perfect life in a perfect world, where kids only study, do sport, and are kinds. Many, who are 40+, dont understand that kids now are different from when you were kids. Moral standards have changed. If gambling for underaged was inappropriate 20-30 years ago, then today its our reality.

I also like how adults discuss importance of money and investment for kids. That they want to introduce them investing as early as possible so they could build their future from early ages. But somehow they forget about risk and luck factors in investing, and talk that gambling is a big NO for kids. Kids should be able to risk in investing from early age, but should not risk in gambling until 18. Even though gambling does not equal investing, both are risky.
