Such interesting topic! Thanks fr sharing these stories and trying to generate awareness about all the cases mentioned. I assume most oof the issues are also caused by the medium f communication used, in this case BT messages, that are unencrypted and unverifiable. It's god to use PGP or bitcoin signed messages to keep track of the validity of the trade and also checking info on the external tools that along the years have been build on top BT to verify information and user accounts.

All this also validate that the built-in trust system here isn't really enough to be taken as reference when trading with unknown parties. Does anyone have ear about the nostr protocol and how running comms across it could solve these issues? It's not the solution, it still early stages, but definitely comparable with bitcoin signed messages of PGP keys comms.
