I think sports betting is even more dangerous than slots or roulette — and it pulls people in way deeper.
Why? Because it gives you this fake sense of control. You’re not just spinning a wheel — you’re “analyzing,” making “smart” picks, thinking you’ve got the edge over the bookie. Feels like you’re using your brain, not just gambling, and that’s the trap.

Most people in a casino know it’s luck — win or lose, it’s a roll of the dice. But sports bettors, they convince themselves it’s all skill, that they’ve cracked the code, that they’re just one smart bet away from hitting it big.

That mindset is way more addictive — and way harder to shake — than any slot machine could ever be.

You have a point on this however it’s still a case to case basis depending on user preference on what they are seeking when they gamble.

It’s true a sense of control might be dangerous due to over confidence that will lead to huge bet and potentially losing big time.

But slot players typically looking forward to huge jackpot prize that’s why they are eager to play consistently despite losing many times.
