Whether they are from banks or scammers ill never give information via phone, even from mobile company asking for information for upgrade, even if they are legit i will never give up info over the phone, unless I'm the one who call them via their official telephone line, what i always do is go to the bank if i have trouble, or if my postpaid have issues, and that can't be resolve via phone, you can't trust this people that are calling via phone, who knows if its been hack or something.
Your local banks will always warn you not to provide any sensitive information or data to anyone that calls you to claim they are from the bank and wants to help you with your account. Always go straight to the bank in case of any problem that might arise, and also avoid sharing your details online on some websites that you don't know.

Scammers are everywhere; they are creating several means of getting access to our devices every day, and the coming of AI is making work easy for them because they are now using AI to arrange some scams and phishing attacks on devices through several methods; therefore, we should always be careful with our data online, and if possible, use 2FA for all your banking and exchanges on your device.

Notwithstanding, to avoid all these issues, you can just buy Bitcoin and send it to your personal wallet offline and safeguard your seed phrase offline too to avoid any phishing attack online that might penetrate your device to have access to your seed phrase.
