He deserves rehabilitation and is also removed from environments that influence him, including those that make it easier for him to hear and interact with gambling. This will be quite helpful. People with symptoms like those you describe are not easy to live with within a family environment, unless you educate them strictly to deter them from actions they can't afford (IF they still ask for money).

DON'T GAMBLE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY INCOME. THERE ARE NO GET-RICH-QUICK SCHEMES FROM GAMBLING, UNLESS YOU RUN THE BUSINESS, AND THAT IS IF YOU ARE ABLE.
