Cristian Chivu has considerable experience, having previously played for Roma, Ajax, and Inter Milan, so that experience is sufficient to give him a better chance given Inter Milan's current strength.
Being a player is a bit different than being a coach so in that sense I don't think it's a guarantee that even if Chivu succeeds as a player, there's no guarantee that he'll succeed as a coach.
And in this condition I think we already have many examples where when a player who is successful in his professional career actually fails when he becomes a coach like we take Ole or Koeman who was once a legend as a player but was destroyed as a coach.
This can also certainly still happen for Chivu especially for now we see Inter under pressure from all sides because not only the transition they are feeling now but internal problems including investigations into their involvement with the underworld clearly this will still greatly interfere with performance later.
But in this case of course Chivu's hope is still there even though he will still be very doubtful as a coach but of course this is a test for him and when he succeeds to give an answer then obviously this will be a good thing.
