Nothing replaces the extra excitement that comes from playing with other people, but whether you like it or not depends entirely on each person and what the game is, because there are games that don't require you to be with other people, and to have fun with them I prefer to be alone, and make my decisions alone, I don't like to be influenced by the opinions of others, but that doesn't mean that there are games that are better enjoyed in the company of a couple of friends, and even that encourage connecting with new people.
