This thread is suddenly starting to  receive merits, si I thought I might revive it with some details of changes since it started..
Bitcoin was valued at £2,800 at around the time of my first post. It has recently moved above £90,000. It's starting to get expensive, but I still seem to ba able to collect a few Satoshi.
I had my 83 birthday in June, so I'm probably still the oldest member.
Bitcoin core seems to be under attack, and I'm considering switching to Knots for my wallets.
I've still got 8 garages full of historical memorabilia - my friends call it rubbish. I'm gradually clearing and selling it. I found a load of Beetles and Rolling Stones LPs, and I gather they are having a bit of a revival
The Berlingo, Convoy and Scudo vans have gone to the scrap yard, and have been replaced by 2 classic Volvo 740s, and a Maxus to help with the clearing. I've also got a 17 seater Mercedes Sprinter bus, and I'm converting that to live in full time.
World politics are insane at the moment, especially in the UK. The "nut zero" seem to have taken over. The zero seems to refer to your wealth rather than anything to do with climate or the environment. More than ever, I believe that Bitcoin is the best store of value,  but remember, you should always diversify, and I've been collecting some old English silver coins amongst other things.
I'm sorry to see that so many of my friends who posted in this thread no longer seem to be members of the site, They've probably made their fortunes and moved on thanks to Bitcoin.
