The FIFA club world cup has been on for more than 20 years and the format was just changed and a new trophy along side it. Just as PSG won the Champions League in its new format it's the same as this. This tournament is not a new creation but just a change of format of the previous competition. Teams that met the criteria were already picked and published since last year, so I'm just wondering were this part of teams not wanting to participate came out from.
