You know that the bookmakers always have their different market option for you to choose and bet on, depending on your favorite option of betting on, determines your method of analysis but you can always do a general analysis, that's to review every records and highlights, which can help you identify what the overall outcome of the match would be and how it will look like. If you like to bet on home win or away win, then you will analyze to know which team has a high chance of winning the match. If you also love to bet on how many goal to he score overall, you will still have to analyze based on possibility of the numbers of goals to be scored, etc.

I believe you will likely just ended up picking the bookmaker favorite with low odds if your strategy is just to analyze the stats based on their performance and previous stats.

Bookmaker is using same method to assign an odds so you will save time by just choosing whats the low odds available on the match that you prefer to bet.

No, it's not about picking the bookies favorite, remember I said it depends on the option the bettor like to frequently stake on, they can do a general solid analysis to determine what the overall outcome of the match would be, that's only when they can make a more informed and accurate prediction which could guided them to taking the right favourable bet option. Picking low odds can even be disappointing because they will end up to burst your game. Except a bettor doesn't care if they lose or not, that's when the person can only pick option with low odds without doing a proper analysis. Despite that I like to bet on home/away win, I still do research to know if they really stand the chance or not.
