I absolutely disagreed with Madrid's idea. It's because it only makes competition to take place more frequent and has no difference with the previous format.
FIFA tries to level up Club World Cup standard by making it equal to the World Cup. So they change it to take place every 4 years in order to make it more prestigious, and have a plan to make it even more inclusive.
Looking at the angle real madrid is coming from, it's more about the financial gains, the tournament is very rich and anyone that participated in it where actually happy with what they got, so real Madrid sees it as a quick way of making a very huge amount of money if it can be played every two years, but will other top clubs agree to this? Considering the higher numbers of matches and workloads on players?
This is what I can't really guarantee yet because the workload will be too much on the players, so on that note, I think it's best if it remains between four years interval as it is now, because looking for an opportunity to play this tournament was even difficult for fifa considering the current football calendar, so in my own opinion, four years interval is the best.
Madrid only cares for the monetary purpose. They don't care about how to make it becomes more valuable and more prestigious. What FIFA has done by changed CWC's format deserved appreciation. I strongly believe many clubs will prefer CWC to be hold once every 4 year.
