I agree with that. We don't need to talk about Manchester United anymore; they haven't built a team to compete at the top.
Chelsea's Club World Cup win doesn't necessarily mean they're strong. That's not proof of their strength, but I think we should also look at the overall performance since Maresca took over. There's been so much positive progress, so I'm not just judging by the final result, but by their long journey. I think Chelsea now deserves to be among the teams competing for the Premier League title next season.
Manchester United is currently focused solely on recruiting players already playing for Premier League clubs. And although they intend to overhaul their squad, I still see their movement in the transfer market as quite slow. So, personally, I'm not so sure about Manchester United. So, there's nothing we can say about them yet.
As for Chelsea, they've made tremendous progress. Their victory in the Club World Cup wasn't just due to luck; their performance has indeed improved and continues to improve. PSG probably didn't expect Chelsea to be that strong. So, PSG let their guard down, and Chelsea capitalized on it, and Chelsea succeeded.
Chelsea certainly deserves to be challenging for the title next season. Although I'm still pessimistic about whether they can match Liverpool. However, last season, Chelsea also managed to compete closely for a Champions League spot. And there's no doubt that next season will be the same.
