Are this these the dangers of becoming a gambling professional or a gambling addict because in my opinion no one can really become a professional because gambling isn't a profession, the actual word here is addiction.  There are lots of problems serious gambling can attract and income is the most common danger. Gambling can make you squander your income, this can make you fall into debt

Actually, I think it depends on what game we are talking about. I have seen people who have become professional poker players and it is because poker is different from other casino games, obviously. It is a game in which you are not playing against the house itself, but rather against other gamblers, also there are some strategic elements in poker, unlike other casino games.

So I think it is possible to become professional in poker, but in dices, plinko, roulette and other games in which the house is directly involved it is pretty much impossible to be profitable in the long term.
Also, it is not the same being a gambling addicted person than someone who is professionally dedicated to gambling to pay their bills and keep their savings from all of their sessions. In general, those who are professional have total control other their feelings and use their physical cues to deceive other poker players when they attend tournaments.
