The news related to the transfer of Victor Gyokores is quite long. I remember the drama of Osimhen's transfer last season, which also failed after many offers came, until finally he could only be loaned out.
I hope that doesn't happen to Victor Gyokores. Arsenal does have a great chance to win it. When the deal happens, Arsenal could have performed better because they really need these players.
The adjustment process will definitely happen, it could be very difficult or even be easy for him, depending on how he can condition himself in the team.
That's my fear because several times when this kind of things happen, the next thing you hear is that the deal failed to go through because of slight misunderstanding. So far, the most quiet transfers have come from the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur. They didn't make much noise but they went on to achieve their aim.
We're yet to get any news from the negotiations and fans have to keep their fingers crossed and even though there's every likelihood of the deal becoming a success, I won't advise anyone to get their hopes up too.
I think Tottenham are making good signings. They'll be playing in the Champions League next year, and they're working to build a squad that's suitable for that. Last season, they were one of the two teams that did poorly, along with Manchester United, and the lucky ones were just one point above the relegation zone. Strangely, they made it to the Europa League final, and despite Tottenham's poor performance, they won the final and won the championship. They're now in the Champions League next year. They're making good transfers, but I don't know how much more they can do. They still have a few needs. I'm sure they'll have a good squad by the end of the season.
Tottenham cannot fix all the challenges that the club is undergoing in just one season. It's going to be a gradual process. However, the signing of some players have shown that they want to build the team to be very strong to enable them face the challenge ahead of them next season. The sack of the previous coach was a sign that the management don't like to see the team in a weak state, despite winning the European League. I hope to see them do better next season.
