It's understandable that LeBron would want to join a stronger team for one last try for a championship. This could very well be his final season. The Lakers just don't have enough depth. Even if they make the play-offs, it'll probably end in an early exit.
I think the best place for LeBron to retire is where he came from. Though at age 40, there are still a few teams who's willing to make a deal for him. That only means, he can still contribute significantly. However, I don't really think those 4 teams who's been interested for the trade would make a done deal. It's gonna cost them some important pieces if one of these teams decide to pull up this trade.
So, I don't think LeBron will be going somewhere. If Luka can now manage to be consistent offensively with the Lakers, they will have a better shot for the championship than last year.
