But one thing I tried to understand about the match was that Chelsea had prepared well for PSG and looked for the best tactics they could use against them. On the other hand, PSG was not well prepared for Chelsea. They seemed to think they could easily beat them, just like they had beaten every other team in the tournament.
I would say they underrated Chelsea, and that’s what led to their loss in fact, losing by 3 goals without scoring at all. Maresca pulled of tactics like the coach of the other team was playing checkers and he was playing chess. Of course Cold Palmer was the highlight of the match. I don't know why, but almost all the time I feel the opponent underestimate him even though everyone knows what he is capable of. PSG made a mistake by underestimating Chelsea. PSG got a red card in that match but it was late. The damage was already done in the first half by Chelsea. This is definitely a highlight of what can happen if you don't pay attention to details. This match from Chelsea was all about preparation, motivation and being in the moment.
