Don't mind me chiming in here but I think this is something that's only apparent to long-term forum users. The entire concept of the paid pools on Bitcointalk is trust in the managers/operators. We all joke around a bit about cheating a lot, but there actually aren't many users I would trust to run this whole thing, season after season.
The rules and specifics of BSFL aren't actually very important to most players (all right, so I speak for myself). Hell, I haven't in 7 seasons whether here in BSFL or in other pools checked whether freebets are awarded correctly, or if tiebreakers are correctly counted -- because I fully trust in the pool operators/managers. That... is actually the entire point, to me. And in a world where I need to postpone dentists and doctors to do groceries and forum shit, this trust is really, really important.
I would also like to state that I'm not saying this because my family is held captive somewhere or my I found the head of my favourite racehorse in bed with me this morning. This is completely voluntary and I am in no way in any sort of duress. There is no such thing as the Crosta Nostra. Only a legitimate, democratic, fair, just and magnanimous Cro2. #puretruth #nopropaganda #definitelynotgettingpaidtosaythis
