This is the worse way i can think of treating gambling addiction. 
I preferably take addiction else where to be controlled, at least a therapist also works in the mind controlled by the brain.
Imagine spending $1 million on treatment for something that can be stopped with no money, just determination and following the right instructions, meanwhile those addicted haven't spent a total of the amount while addicted.
