Yeah, it is of great concern how Manchester United's performance is declining in the Premier League slowly, and the Manchester United board has brought in different coaches to Manchester United so that Manchester United can perform well and start challenging for the Premier League title, but none of the coaches the Manchester United board signed were able to change Manchester United's poor performance. Ruben Amorim did a great job at Sporting CP, and I was looking up to him to change Manchester United's situation next season, but with how Manchester United is slow in signing players this season, I am not expecting much from Ruben Amorim because he's yet to get the quality players that will help him perform well at Manchester United next season.
Well, Manchester United has actually been making quite a concerted effort since the Ten Hag era. In fact, in almost every transfer window, they've brought in players considered to be of high quality. But for some reason, the team seems to be struggling to recover.

And now, in the Amorim era, I'm personally not so sure. Manchester United's transfer market moves have been mediocre, and the players they've brought in haven't been as ambitious as usual. However, it's not impossible that Amorim will succeed with the players they've brought in. Manchester United must rebuild from the ground up. And starting with players more familiar with the Premier League is a realistic approach. These players can likely be expected to adapt more quickly than players brought in from outside the Premier League.
Yeah, United have spent plenty of cash post-Fergie. Antony, Sancho, Højlund, Mount, you name it. And most of those "high quality" arrivals from outside the Prem have flopped or dropped in value. Last year's disaster (15th in the league, 18 defeats, a -10 goal difference, underperforming xG by nearly 13 goals) was the bottom of the barrel for United in modern times

Amorim's era? Call it what it is: a hard reset. The old recruitment circus is out. Now it is all about tactical fit for his 3-4-2-1. That means PL-proven guys like Cunha (who has got the engine for those inside-forward roles), Mbeumo (if they can ever get that over the line), and even the new kid Leon. This time, they are here to fit the system. It is pragmatic, not sexy, and it is definitely slower than the rival clubs. But if you look at United's new philosophy, it is about NOT repeating the €250m mistake of betting on adaptation risk from overseas signings

And part of why United cannot "go big" is the absolute mess they have got to sell first. Sancho training with the reserves, Rashford and Antony impossible to shift, PSR rules, etc. Right now, ambition looks like patience and discipline. The fans do not like it, the media does not get it, but this is not the same old United panic-buying on deadline day... at least, not yet...
