Democrat Senators Want El Salvador Sanctioned, BTC Tracked
US senators have demanded sanctions against El Salvador for a variety of corruption-related activities, including increasing El Salvador's strategic reserve on Bitcoin, monopolistic Bitcoin purchases, corruption, embezzlement of government funds, and more.
"The Bill" is mentioned in the Accountability Act of 2025 and asks for clarification on how El Salvador is using Bitcoin and the source of this Bitcoin purchase and who owns and has access to it, and has already requested that the US government clarify this.
However, the President of El Salvador has responded to the bill with many words and harsh criticism, describing it as a "salty bill" and "ridiculous" and stating that the bill was created to achieve a political objective and that accusations have been made against it.

What has this got to do with America? It is a sovereign country with its own goals, decisions and issues. Why aren't they pursuing corruption and embezzlement in their innocent neighbors Mexico and Canada instead?

Nayib Bukele was undeterred with the actions done by democrats and its like he didn't care about what those idiot senators do
https://thecurrencyanalytics.com/altcoins/bukele-taunts-u-s-over-sanctions-bill-as-el-salvador-stands-firm-on-bitcoin-184571I guess they are so butthurt about the situation and they see that Bitcoin influence is growing. They try to attack now El Salvador for thinking that they can manipulate the mind of the good leader of El Salvador but Nayib Bukele remain unbothered and continue to do their thing since they see the good effect brought by Bitcoin on their country. For sure the propaganda of Democrats cannot hurt the popularity of Bukele and people will be on his side then people would think that US democrats senators is threat of El Salvador's democracy.
The US accusations are clearly lies. They fundamentally made a huge mistake by accusing Bukele of corruption. As we know, Bukele is a truly remarkable president capable of bringing about significant change in El Salvador. If I'm not mistaken, he also dismissed many government officials deemed to be performing poorly and likely harming the country. Furthermore, since Bukele's election as president, El Salvador has become safer. Bukele has successfully imprisoned thousands of gangsters who had been causing unrest among Salvadorans. Furthermore, as we know, Nayib Bukele also made Bitcoin legal tender in the country and has consistently invested in it to this day.
So, given this, I find it unreasonable to believe that Nayib Bukele would engage in corruption. He is the one who built El Salvador to its current level. Therefore, it's impossible for him to betray his own hard work and engage in corruption. Therefore, it's clear that the US accusations against Bukele are either slander or manipulation. They seem a little concerned about El Salvador's rapid progress.
