Its really annoying. I avoid any brand new gambling site which asks the first thing is your identity. I'd like to try it without any verification. It takes time to gain reputation. A new gambling site asking for IDs could be a potential scam.

But if they are long standing and trustworthy and if I absolutely had to do it and its my one of the most used or favorite site, I don't mind doing an ID verification. I have done ID verification in most of the exchanges and don't mind doing it in a popular gambling site.

I would be a bit more cautions here and wont play at the new casino at all even if they allow KYC free access. This is because most of these casino will not ask for KYC at the time of deposit but will make it mandatory at the time of withdrawal. So in order to withdraw money you will have to do the kyc anyways.

Also I believe that once a casino becomes trusted, it will be KYC compliant as I don't think any good casino can operate without making the KYC mandatory. So better do the KYC at the trusted casino only and limit yourself to the few casino. No need to make account in every gambling site and sharing your details  Huh
