Sounds like a bunch or crap to me. Let's say it does work though, what else does a person risk losing when they zap your brain? I would rather not take this sort of risk without having more information as it could have devastating effects that weren't desired.
The aftereffect that's not seen in the article is also what I'm mostly concerned about. One can be looking for a way to cure their addiction and end up losing something in their brain or making a mistake that causes a lifetime injury. The second thing I also consider very important is the amount involved and who is going to be able to afford such addiction treatment if it eventually passes the test stage, or is it going to be offered as aid from an NGO to tackle addiction?
