Currently, person with highest amount of bitcoin in the world is Satoshi Nakamoto and he is the 12th richest man in the world. Can his number one spot be taken by some other person anytime soon ? Who can be that person to replace Satoshi ? Elon Musk ?
First let's stop with the Satoshi argument, we really don't know how much he had, or what his Bitcoin address is, there could be more. Second, it looks by now that he doesn't care about his Bitcoin right? He might not touch it for the rest of his natural life (if he is still alive). Don’t know why they keep coming up with these comparisons for a figure that you can’t even tell if it’s a person, brand or an organization. We all like to think Satoshi Nakamoto is a person, possibly did all these alone or not but with that certainty, even the few known address might end up not being a coin owned by a single individual.
Just like you said, Satoshi Nakamoto couldn’t care any less and the desire to remain anonymous fits the innovation.
The idea of possible withdrawal of some of these coins is just a means to create FUD but they seem to forget one thing, the market is so large that it could take just whatever comes in and bounce right back to normalcy.
