Once we have are able to mow what is bringing mus down by not making profits from gambling, that's when we can start working on ourselves, solving necessary problems that could be an obstacle. Tracking our gambling activities can be very helpful for those of us that knows how to do that to improve on the way we gambler.

There are gamblers that don't keep track of their gambling activities and most time when they win bets, they would be excited that they are making money from gambling which might be a contrary assertion. Until a gambler started tracking every bet they staked, it will be very hard to know if they are actually winning or losing.

Some gamblers do not track their statistics because they have been gambling for more than 10-15 years and they simply know that any gambler will lose to the casino in the long run, since any game of chance has a negative mathematical expectation. Therefore, there is no point in tracking your statistics.

In order to control yourself, it is enough to limit your deposits and allocate a small percentage of your income to gambling. This allows you to enjoy your winnings regardless of your overall statistics.
