So the question is, can one becomes addicted to trading same way gambling can be addictive?
Yes you can become addicted to Trading. While both Trading and Gambling can become dangerous when done addictively. There are some differences that make Trading look less harmful and This illusion becomes the cause of people losing loads of money.

People think they have an edge earning Money Trading because of factors Like being able to do Analysis, Looking at Market structure and past patterns giving us an idea of what market might do next. But when it's done emotionally it becomes none different than gambling.

Here’s where the addiction begins:
  • The inability to accept losses.
  • Revenge trading to "make it back."
  • Overtrading: taking far more trades than necessary.
  • Chasing the thrill or dopamine instead of focusing on logic.

Trading becomes none different than gambling when people's emotions take over and they then no longer follow a plan. Whether it's Trading or gambling the outcome is the same and you lose money. IMO trading should be done with discipline, proper planning and execution To become profitable.

We shouldn't let trading become addictive if we want to be profitable. we also should never gamble As it's very risky and even prohibited by the two largest religions.
