Been following EPL and La Liga games and of course I do watch all major Champions League games for ages now, I can boldly say that one two or three times, Rodrygo has engineered the win for Real Madrid in difficult situations. I can vividly remember this very encounter of Real Madrid Vs Manchester City were City were leading 4 - 2 on aggregate and with just few minutes to 90 minutes. If course the game was already done for and City were supposed to have qualified. I can't forget the probability of that game, City had 99% qualification chance while Real Madrid had just 1% qualification chance with less than 5 minutes to normal time and boom. Rodrygo scored twice in 2 minutes. Right now, that same Rodrygo is been pushed away despite the fact that he doesn't want to leave. Just few months of decline in performance and the club wants to throw him away. That's really sad.
Honestly, whether you like it or not, it must be acknowledged that Rodrygo has shown extraordinary dedication to Real Madrid. This is undeniable, as he has been one of the key players in almost every match, creating extraordinary moments that exceeded everyone's expectations. One of those fantastic moments, as you mentioned, was when Real Madrid faced Manchester City. where Rodrygo demonstrated his skills and experience as a professional player, turning the tide in the final minutes of the match, transforming a moment of sadness into joy. This was a rare moment that is unlikely to happen again.
Currently, Rodrygo is facing a dilemma. Real Madrid is ready to let go of their hero, simply because his performance dipped slightly last season, complicating the situation further. Especially with the arrival of Mbappe and Vinicius, who have strengthened the attack, Real Madrid is now even more prepared to let Rodrygo go.
When he was still coming up years ago, for those who watched Real Madrid games, it was just almost like Vini and when Rodrygo cooked, he became one of the pillars of Real Madrid attack even saving the team in tight games especially in Champions League nights. Just one season of decline and both the board and the new coach is throwing him out. That's really unfair from my own perspective but what can people like us do from here? Nothing, we are not part of the board that makes the decision, all I can say, is that I really wish him well in whatever team he will be playing.
