Mbeumo is a good signing, but I feel like United overpaid for him. If not for the fact that they're prioritizing premier league players this transfer window over players from other leagues, I believe they would have looked elsewhere. I quite understand Ademola Lookman wasn't on United's radar, but paying €50 million euros for him would have been a lot better than splashing £70 million pounds on Mbeumo.

Manchester United overpaid, but nonetheless, Mbuemo is a good player, and if everything goes well, he will be a great addition to their team. They showed that they were desperate to get him, and Brighton got the most out of it. They won't be the first to overpay for a player. Liverpool spent 120 million on Writz, who is a good player, but still not worth that much.

United just need to focus on getting a top striker now to solve their problems in attack. I consider the news about Jackson a joke because he is not the kind of striker Man United should be going for. When it comes to a striker, I don't mind if Man United breaks the bank and gets a quality striker like Isak.
In midfield, too, there is still a lot of work to be done. They need at least 2 good CMs or one CM and one DM. It's a good thing they have been able to convince Fenandes to stay. If United can get 2 quality midfielders before the summer transfer window closes, and also get a CB and  FB, they might be ready to compete for trophies and the top 4 next season.
