In poker, it's usually a 5 card game, but most of the time we evaluate the hand based on the first 3 cards. Sometimes, we take a little risk on the 4th card the Turn but how far do you usually go? Because the 5th card, the River, can often flip the whole game.

Lately, my luck has been playing tricks on me with the River. No matter if it's a two pair or a three of a kind, the game keeps turning at the end.

So my question is how often do you go all-in? Or how much are you willing to lose in an all-in that still feels okay to you? Expert's opinion maybe can change my tacktics and better winning result.

All-in is really about using pot odds & assessing your opponent's limit, predominantly on the river. You only go all-in when your equity is greater than the cost, stack size & inherent value are considered. Determine your highest defensible loss, avoid psychic river calls, and save all-in for well-executed bluffs with blockers or strong hands. So I cant say it totally depends on luck, rather it is pure disciplined math. Also, All-in is not daring, it is a strategic tool when the odds, range, and opponent's reading align.
