To be fair, it depends on what you're looking for and where you're looking. There are numerous excellent resources for learning on YouTube, particularly when it comes to topics beyond cryptocurrency. That being said, some channels do try to add unnecessary filters because they want to ensure their videos can be monetized. It's unfortunate that YouTube set the rules that way, afaik.
There are helpful educational Youtube channels for learning especially if newbies need something like visually practical guides. If they already read text guides, try to practice what they read but failed to do it in practice, a video guide can help them.
However, I still believe that before watching a video, reading text guides is very important because it can give very succint details that often are enough for your learning and practice.
Videos are usually time consuming and wasting and people have to spend more time on watching videos than on reading text guides.
