Truthfully there is no way to see this.    It's just a weak rumour, nothing else. Why would Mercedes want to have drivers like Verstappen and Hamilton in the same team?

It can be understood from their not thinking of a roster like Verstappen - Russell also. They simply don't want to have a teammate who can make difficulties for Verstappen. This is why we would see Antonelli beside him in case of an agreement.
